White Edge Banding for Different Panel Materials
White PVC Edge Banding
Most furniture is manufactured with white PVC edge banding. It is economical, easy to cut and comes in the most extensive selection of white shades and finishes. PVC white edge banding will reliably adhere to both EVA and PUR adhesives on MDF, particle board and plywood.
White Melamine Edge Banding
A paper-based edge banding impregnated with melamine resin that matches melamine-faced boards is called white melamine edge banding. The adhesive layer thickness is 0.5-0.6mm, and its maximum width is 630mm, which is similar in color and texture to the surface of melamine board. The edge banding is cheap and can be used in mass production, but not as durable as PVC or ABS and is mostly used in internal or low impact parts.
White Acrylic Edge Banding
White acrylic edge banding provides a premium, high gloss, glass-like finish, which is not possible with PVC edge banding. It is recommended for high quality furniture, designer furniture, and retail displays where the edge appearance is important. Acrylic white edge banding is very UV resistant and clear, but needs higher glue temperatures and care to not scratch. Usually 1 mm-3 mm and can be gloss or matte.
White ABS Edge Banding
White ABS edge banding is more impact resistant and heat resistant than PVC. More durable at high temperatures and less prone to corner chipping, ideal for contract furniture, school furniture and heavy usage. Additionally, ABS is halogen-free and more environmentally friendly. The thickness of the visible edge that is generally used for white ABS edge banding is 1 mm to 2 mm.

White Edge Banding Surface Finishes
Matte — the most common finish for white furniture. Low sheen minimizes fingerprints and hides minor scratches and handling marks. Matches matte melamine and laminate boards.
Satin / Semi-Gloss — a soft sheen between matte and gloss, used for mid-range furniture and cabinetry where a slight luster is desired.
Gloss — high-reflective finish for modern high-gloss furniture. Requires careful handling during production to avoid surface scratches. Gloss white edge banding should be trimmed with polished knives to prevent micro-scratching.
Textured / Embossed — subtle surface texture that replicates the feel of painted wood or matte laminate. Registered embossing aligns texture with any wood-grain print for a realistic appearance.

White edge banding is used across all furniture categories — bedroom sets, living room furniture, dining tables, TV units, and bookshelves. It is the default edge color for white furniture lines and matches white board surfaces from all major manufacturers.
Kitchen Cabinets
White kitchen cabinets remain the most popular choice in residential and multi-family projects. White edge banding is used on cabinet doors, drawer fronts, face frames, and end panels. Matte white is preferred for modern handleless kitchens; gloss white for high-gloss contemporary designs.

White is the dominant color for wardrobe interiors, closet systems, and storage furniture. White edge banding on internal components (shelves, dividers, drawer sides) creates a bright, clean interior. Visible doors and frames use 1 mm–2 mm white edge banding for a premium finish.

Raw Material & Production Control
The approved PVC, ABS or acrylic resins and white pigments are verified prior to production. Thickness is checked throughout the calendering or extrusion process, and is within a tolerance of ±0.05 mm.
Color & Surface Inspection
The measurement for white colour is carried out by spectrophotometric analysis between a retained master sample, with a target of ΔE ≤ 1.5 under D65, A and TL84 lighting. Surface scratches, pits and streaks, as well as texture variation, are checked.
Processing & Dimensional Tests
Samples are affixed to MDF and radius cut to ensure there is no corner whitening and chipping. The finished rolls are also inspected for width uniformity within a tolerance of ±0.1 mm.
Final Inspection & Traceability
Inspects the rolls for joints and wrinkles and for a uniform degree of winding. Labels are checked for material, color, thickness, width, batch and production date. Retained samples are kept for 24 months for batch traceability.
