Quality Control & Inspection

Product-specific inspections help maintain consistent quality from incoming materials to final shipment.

QUALITY CONTROL

Full-Process Quality Control

Quality Control is not simply an inspection at the end of the production process, but a series of inspections throughout the production. We are interested in pinpointing any possible problems early and ensuring product consistency before delivery.

01

Incoming Material Inspection

Pre-production materials are inspected to relevant specifications. Resources which do not conform to specification are not released for production.

→
02

In-Process Inspection

Production monitoring of key product characteristics. This includes edge banding dimensions, thickness, color and surface appearance. Hot melt adhesives can be checked for viscosity, melting properties and performance in application.

→
03

Final Inspection

Finished goods are checked prior to packing and shipment against the requirements agreed. Product dimensions, appearance and other quality characteristics as appropriate are checked, and inspection records are kept for relevant batches.

Only products that comply with the specifications are sent for shipping.

QUALITY CONTROL

Quality Control Across Our Product Range

Each material has its own set of quality criteria. Product-specific inspection standards are used to monitor the dimensions, appearance, consistency and key performance characteristics during production.

Edge Banding

Edge Banding

Thickness tolerance0.4–0.7 mm: ±0.05 mm · 0.8–1.5 mm: ±0.10 mm · 1.6–3.0 mm: ±0.15 mm
Width tolerance±0.1 mm
Flexibility (180° bend)No cracks, no whitening
UV / yellowing resistanceIndoor: ≥500 h (ΔE < 3) · Outdoor: ≥2000 h
Color differenceΔE ≤ 1.0
Tensile strength≥18 MPa

These checks ensure dimensional accuracy, appearance and durability during processing and use.

Hot Melt Adhesive

Hot Melt Adhesive

Softening point (R&B)EVA: 70–120 °C · Polyolefin: 80–160 °C · Typical packaging grade: 80 ±2 °C
Viscosity @ 180 °C3,000–30,000 mPa·s, by grade
Open time10–60 s
Setting time15–18 s
Heat resistanceFinished bond withstands ~20 °C below softening point

These parameters can be used to adjust the adhesive to various grades, application requirements and production rates.

PVC Film

PVC Film

Thickness0.12–0.45 mm; deviation ±10%
Tensile strength (MD / TD)MD ≥25 MPa · TD ≥15 MPa
Elongation at breakMD ≥20% · TD ≥15%
Right-angle tear strengthMD ≥80 kN/m · TD ≥40 kN/m
Dimensional change≤5% (MD)
Weather resistanceAging color change ≥ grade 3–4

These checks are based on the consistency of thickness, mechanical properties, dimensional stability and surface durability.

PVC Skirting Board

PVC Skirting Board

Foil adhesion (peel test)No delamination, no lifting at edges
Foil surface appearanceSmooth, uniform, no bubbles, scratches or pinholes
Foil color consistencyΔE ≤ 1.0, matched to order reference
Dimension toleranceLength / width within ±1 mm of spec
StraightnessDeviation ≤ 2 mm / 2 m
Stain resistanceCommon kitchen stains wipe clean with no residue
Installation fitClip mounting seats firmly, no wobble

The checks are related to dimensions, foil adhesion, surface appearance, color consistency and installation condition.

Note: above mentioned values are reference values and may vary as per product model, grade, material construction, application and customization requirements. Final specifications are to be confirmed based on the product chosen and the agreed order requirements.

QUALITY CONTROL

Quality Control Process

Quality control is performed during the manufacturing process, not just an inspection at the end.

01

Raw Material Inspection

Materials are inspected against the product requirements before production starts. This could be done by verifying a product’s specifications, its quality, its look, its colour, its size or any other relevant detail.

02

In-Process Inspection

Product characteristics are monitored during the production process to detect potential deviation early in the process. Production checks for edge banding and hot melt adhesives can be specific to dimension, appearance, processing characteristics and more.

03

Finished Product Inspection

The finished products are checked against the agreed specifications prior to packaging. This can include checks for width, thickness, color and surface appearance for edge banding. Hot melt adhesives can be subjected to such checks as viscosity, appearance, melting properties, and bonding properties.

04

Packaging and Label Check

Products are inspected for quantity, packaging condition and product identification prior to shipment. Batch or Lot information is also reviewed where applicable, to aid product traceability.

05

Pre-Shipment Quality Control

Final checks are performed prior to loading to ensure that the completed goods are in accordance with the product requirements and approved references (if applicable).

CUSTOM ORDERS

Quality Control for Custom Orders

There is more to a standard inspection process than there is in a custom product. We define a clear technical reference for the customized product, before production, so that the production, inspection and repeat orders are based on the same requirements.

Specification Review
STEP 01

Specification Review

The specifications provided by the customer are checked prior to production such as dimension, material, colour, surface finish, application requirements and other customised details. All requirements are clarified and confirmed prior to production if they are unclear or conflicting.

Sample and Color Approval
STEP 02

Sample and Color Approval

Physical samples, color references or approved samples may be used as the production reference for customized edge banding and other appearance sensitive products. This helps to establish the look of the product prior to mass production.

First-Article Confirmation
STEP 03

First-Article Confirmation

The first production sample or initial output of new customized products can be checked against the confirmed requirements before the order goes into full production.

Controlled Production Reference
STEP 04

Controlled Production Reference

When the specifications or sample is agreed upon, it shall be the criterion for the production order. This reference can also be used for repeat orders, to minimise unnecessary variation between batches.

Changes After Approval
STEP 05

Changes After Approval

Any changes to specifications, color, material or other key requirements after confirmation should be reviewed before being applied to production, helping prevent unauthorized changes from affecting the finished product.

Note: Custom product specifications may vary according to the selected material, model, application and customer requirements. Final quality criteria are confirmed based on the agreed product specifications or approved sample.

QUALITY COMMITMENT

Sampling & Quality Commitment

Beyond the technical side, a supplier relationship needs clear, enforceable rules for what happens when something goes wrong.

Sampling

Batches are inspected following AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) principles — random sampling with defined acceptance and rejection numbers, so the decision to release or hold a batch follows a clear rule rather than a judgment call.

Warranty

A serious supplier stands behind every shipment. If a confirmed quality issue arises, a responsible response is within 48 hours, followed by replacement or compensation according to agreed terms. That response time matters, because a stalled line costs you money every hour it waits.

Traceability

Every batch carries a lot number. When a problem appears in your production, you can trace it to a specific record and understand exactly what was measured — the difference between a supplier who fixes problems and one who only apologizes for them.

Verification

Values are factory-verified per batch; third-party reports (e.g. SGS) available on request.

Final Packaging and Shipment Control

Quality control is continued during packing and loading, to ensure that the approved product is identified correctly, adequately protected and ready for shipment.

Before loading, we check:

Product quantity and specifications against the order
Product labels and identification
Roll, carton or package condition
Packing method and protection
Pallet condition, where applicable
Loading condition before shipment

Packaging and product identification is verified with the confirmed order requirements for customized and repeat orders to reduce the risk of mixing, incorrect labels or shipment.
